Graduating Rockdale High School senior Jason Ponnaiya won first place in the senior division at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo Plant ID Contest which was held on Jan. 25.
Ponnaiya also won a $4,000 scholarship for the second year in a row.
The junior team won fourth place at the show with Aaron Ponnaiya placing second in the individual contest.
Other team members were Luke Holcombe, Noah Bradley and Levi Goodson.
