Next week is Texas Public Schools Week and there are a variety of events on rap for the Rockdale ISD as follows:
Rockdale Elementary
• Parent meals—Lunch with Loved Ones, Thursday, March 8,.
Grade Level Events
• Kindergarten is inviting community workers to read and talk about careers.
• First grade is inviting parents to read to their classrooms.
Rockdale Intermediate
• Tuesday, March 6—Student Council Meeting, 3:45 p.m., parents of members are required to attend.
• Wednesday, March 7—Parent meals, Lunch with Loved Ones (modified lunch schedule).
• Wednesday, March 7—EAFK Meeting, 3:45 p.m., parents of members are invited.
• Singers during lunch (RIS Students who like to sing/perform): Tuesday, March 6, 3rd grade, 11:30 to 12; Thursday, March 8, 4th grade, 12:30 to 1; Friday, March 9, 5th grade, 12 to 12:30.
Grade Level Events
• Third, fourth and fifth grades: Parents invited to read to child’s class.
Rockdale Junior High
• Tuesday, March 6—UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest.
• Thursday, March 8—iTigers Play and Band evening performance.
• Friday, March 9—Family and Friend Feast during lunches.
Rockdale High School
• Monday, March 5—Boys and girls golf, Wildflower Country Club in Temple, all day.
• Tuesday, March 6—One-Act Play in Cameron, to be determined; baseball at Academy JV/V, 4:30/7; boys and girls soccer vs. China Spring, 5 p.m.
• Friday, March 9—Baseball vs. Thorndale - JV/V, 4:30/7; boys ad girls soccer at Bryan ISD, 5 p.m.; track at Giddings JV/V.
District Level
• Thursday, March 8—District Education Council Meeting, 4 p.m. 4, Intermediate School Library.
