CAMERON—The Milam County Railroad Museum’s 3-by-5-foot “Alpine Ski Resort “N” scale layout is complete and someone is going to take it home.
Jamie Larson, representing the museum, said tickets for the fund raiser go on sale at the museum, located at 101 West Main in Cameron inside the old J. C. Penney Building.
Donations are $5 each or five tickets for $20.
Tickets may be purchased at the museum Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Drawing is May 4.
The layouts comes complete with a ski lift, skiers, an ambulance, buses and a beautiful Santa Fe Warbonnet passenger train.
MEETING—The Milam County Model Railroad Club will meet at the Milam County Railroad Museum at 4 p.m. on Feb. 15.
The club is open to anyone 14 or older. There’s no cost.
The only qualification is that you should be interested in modeling railroads and railroad activities.
Prospective members do not need to know anything about model trains or model layouts. Training classes will be provided on various topics.
