Owens family reunion Saturday, Forest Grove
The annual Owens family reunion will be held Saturday, July 28 beginning at 9 a.m. at Forest Grove Christian Church, 8 miles south of Rockdale just off US 77.
Rita Owens Grantham, spokesperson, said attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert as barbecue will be provided for the meal.
“Silent auction items will also be welcomed,” she said.

Mack family reunion set here on Saturday
Descendants of Ollie and Versie Mack will host the Mack family reunion from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at George H. Patterson Community Center in Rockdale.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Barbecue with all the trimmings will be provided. Attendees are asked to bring their favorite potluck or dessert items. For the auction fund-raiser please bring an old or new item or baked goods. Bring family photos, scrapbooks and albums to share.

RHS Class of 1968 slates 50th reunion
Rockdale High School Class of 1968 is planning its 50th reunion for Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Apache Pass Steakhouse, 9132 North FM 908.
It will begin at 3 p.m. with a social hour and the kitchen will open for the reunion from 4 to 5.
“Each person will be responsible for their own tickets,” Wayne Bennett, class spokesman, said. “We will ask for donations to cover the event center cost.”
“After supper, we will have until closing to fellowship,” he added.

63rd Spies reunion set for August 5th
The 63rd annual reunion of the descendants of August Spies will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5 at the Moravia Dining Hall across the street from 11134 FM 957, Schulenburg.
Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and dessert for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Plates, utensils, cups and tea will be provided. Also requested are silent auction and door prize items.
