RISD REPORT
From the beginning of our school year to the end, volunteers work tirelessly to coordinate cake auctions, volleyball and football concession stands, inventory library books, teach iTigers classes, fall festivals, spaghetti suppers, track meets and the list can go on and on.
At the end of the day, Rockdale has a number of selfless individuals that are willing to go the extra mile to not only provide opportunities for our students, but make them great in the process.
Last week, the Rockdale ISD recognized many of our volunteers at a breakfast provided by the district and food service manager Sheri Wheeler of Southwest Foods.
Volunteers attending the breakfast were presented a cell phone battery charger with the RISD logo.
I again want to express our appreciation for all of our parents and community members who chose to donate their time, money and effort to support our students and school district during the year.
We look forward to the 2018-19 school year and working with our parent and community volunteers as well as new volunteers willing to work and make Rockdale ISD an outstanding school district.
