There was lots of activity around town this past weekend including (clockwise from the upper left) The Shoppes at Moon River gave away Magical Margaritas on Saturday afternoon. Rita Quinn and Ashley Zimmerman were serving them up in their Halloween costumes. If you haven’t tried Rita’s coffee, you are missing out. She is Rockdale’s own Starbucks and was so busy on Saturday that she ran out of three flavors of syrup. The Love & Learning Center held a festival on Saturday with all kinds of activities for the kids. Jai Mitchell and daughter Stormi enjoyed St. John’s United Methodist Church’s Fall Festival on Saturday. St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church held a dedication ceremony for their peace pole. Their new vicar, Father Heath Drewel, led the ceremony. He is a professor of Hebrew and old testament at the University of Texas.
