—The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce float was runner-up in the Best Out-of-Town Float division of the recent McDade Watermelon Festival Parade. Riding on the float were (L-R) Miss Thorndale Ashton Kiesling, Junior Miss Natalie Newton and Miss Thorndale Runner-up, Lauren Newton. They were crowned last month in the annual pageant.
