—The yard of Johnny and Evelyn Hirt, 601 Allday, has been named yard of the month for August by the Linwood Acres Garden Club. From left are Margo Gil-less, McClelland Jackson, Evelyn Hirt, Megan Jackson and Johnny Hirt. Yards for the honor may be nominated by calling the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce at 512-446-2030. Yards do not have to belong to garden club members to be eligible for the award.
