RISD adopts $28.4-million budget

The Rockdale Independent School District’s board of trustees will balance the district’s budget while giving employees and teachers a boost. Trustees on Monday adopted a $28,407,314 budget for the 20262027 school year, based on the same tax rate as the previous year of $1.0691 per $100 valuation.

RPD makes arrest for terroristic threat

Rockdale Police Department officers made an arrest for terroristic threat with fear of “imminent severe bodily injury” over the past week. Jordan Christie Bell, 41, of Rockdale, was taken into custody and transported to the Milam County Jail on Thursday, June 4.
