The Rockdale city council distributed $34,580 in Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) funds to a few organizations who had petitioned to receive them. The Girls Softball Association will receive $18,150 for district and state tournaments.

Clouse will be laid to rest Wednesday Sgt. Joshua Clouse of the Cameron Police Department was killed in the line of duty after responding to a shooting at a residence in Cameron.

Local water utilities, including city, receive POSGCD grants

Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) announced grants awarded to local Water Utilities in Burleson and Milam Counties at their May board meeting. The district awarded six grants totaling $1,040,211 as a part of its program to conserve groundwater.

Peace Lutheran Church is excited to welcome their new pastor, the Rev. Patrick Welton and his wife, Amy Jeanne, to Rockdale. They will come to us from the Texas Hill Country. He and his wife have two grown children.
