The newest member of the Milam County Sheriff’s Office is Deputy Kenny Gaston who was sworn in Tuesday by Milam County Clerk Jodi Morgan. ‘Deputy Gaston retired from Bryan Police Department and brings with him a wealth of knowledge,’ said Sheriff Mike Clore.

GRAND CHAMPION

The Grand Champion at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s Junior Market Steer Auction was Stiles Patin, 17, with Thorndale 4-H. The steer, named ‘King,’ a solid white Charloais cross, sold for $550,000 to J. Alan Kent Development of Houston.

What’s happening this spring in first grade?
