I talked with Delores Fisher Monday morning and they are having to have new flooring put in their home. That sounds like a job that will take a while. I’m guessing there are several getting things together for summer vacation trips.

RIDING THROUGH THE CITY–The 21st annual MARC Ride took place throughout Milam County as well as parts of Lee and Burleson County. The community-wide extravaganza raised approximately $48,000 for the Milam Adult Resource Center.

Joseph taught Jesus importance of worship

Joseph the father of Jesus; the Bible tells us some things about him. An angel of the Lord appeared to him before Jesus’ birth. He took his family to Bethlehem for a census. He fled with his family to Egypt. Later, he settled in Nazareth where he practiced his trade of carpentry.

Skyles Road closed for thru traffic today and Wednesday

A portion of Skyles Road between Cady and Brazos will be closed to thru traffic for street repairs on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15.

Juneteenth Celebration at Sumuel Park
