Today we report our 92nd Milam County, COVID-19 death.  This person died several days ago and had very little in terms of an underlying health condition.  Please be careful!  We have 25 new cases to report with 94 cases to discharge, leaving us with 251 confirmed, active cases in Milam County.

Milam County breaks highest record of COVID cases

Today, we set a record high number of cases since COVID-19 began in March 2020 at 320 confirmed, active cases in the county. This is 53 more cases than the previous record high of 267 set back in December 2020.  We have 125 new confirmed, active cases in the county with 64 discharged cases.

Milam County is only nine cases away from December 2020 record number of cases

Today, we have 55 new cases to report and 29 cases to discharge, leaving 258 confirmed active cases in Milam County.  At the height of the Delta variant (December 2020) we reached 267 confirmed, active cases.  One person was hospitalized and one was discharged.

Disruption of Service for Water Line Replacement

Due to water line replacement, customers may have intermittent low to no pressure on Saturday 1/8/22 and Sunday 1/9/22 from 7 AM until 7 PM. Area affected will be from Scarbrough to Bowser and Bell to Mill.

Milano VFD chili supper February 19

The Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual chili supper at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the fire station. Adults tickets are $10 and children under 12 are $5. The supper includes chili, beans, all the fixings, dessert and tea. Gun fundraiser tickets are still available.

Benefit for Starr family January 15
