Easter sunrise service set at Liberty

Liberty Community Church will have an Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Sunday. Attendees are welcome to sit in vehicles for service. Coffee and donuts will be served after. Everyone please come and join us, spokesperson Bert Mills said.

Milam County Junior Livestock Show 2021

After a one-year absence because of COVID-19 restrictions the Milam County Junior Livestock Show roared back to life with an auction producing $224,225 for the competitors that were in the sale. That is the total before the added money is figured in, show officials said.

Milam County continues expanded vaccination program

The active case count dropped by one Tuesday. There are now 20 COVID-19 active cases in Milam County, which is about where we were last July. As of last Friday, there were over 125 million cases globally with 2,700,000 deaths. In the U.S. there has been 29,700,000 confirmed cases and 540,000 deaths.

Yokley Road water line repairs

  Yokley Road will be closed to thru traffic between Bushdale and Rockdale roads until approximately 5 p.m. today for water line repairs.
