One fire call was dispatched from the Rockdale Police Station during the past seven days. It was listed by police as follows:
• 4:28 p.m. Sunday, Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department and Atmos Energy responded to a gas leak in the 500 block of East Belton.
There’s unfinished business left over from Earth Day Coordinator Dave Melton said the volunteer effort’s signature project, a rock garden at the RISD Administration Building, has now been completed.
CAMERON—Twelve cases were disposed of recently in 20th District Court.
Prosecutor Bill Torrey listed case dispositions as follows:
• Christopher Wardell Brown, 43, Cameron, seven-year prison term after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for indecency with a child–sexual contact.

The tributes continued Thursday as the Rockdale ISD expressed its appreciation to local veterans. Immediately after the morning celebration in the Rock-dale High School Gym, veterans and spouses were fed lunch in the Rockdale Junior-HIgh School Commons, an annual tradition at the campus.
