Lanna Lee Caldwell, 68, of Rockdale passed away surrounded by her lovi ng f ami ly on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Ser v ic e s will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 15, at Forest Grove Christian Church, with Pastor Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the church.

Lanna was born March 25, 1957, in McLennan County to Joe and Laura Light.

She attended Rockdale High School, where she met the love of her life Jerry.

She and Jerry wed on Sept. 19, 1973, and started their family together shortly after. They raised two sons, Cody and Christopher, at their home in Forest Grove.

In her younger years, Lanna enjoyed horse training, barrel racing with her horse Melo Joe, watching Jerry ride bulls, and following his softball team.

She was also a talented homemaker and would often sew clothing and was an excellent cook with many favorite dishes, but one family favorite, her unmatched chicken fried steak.

She was also a very talented artist. She painted crafts and later enjoyed making and creating shabby chic furniture and decor with Jerry.

You could often find them at Warrenton or Round Top during the Trade Days.

She started her career in ant iques managing Arledge Antiques in Rockdale. She was a lso an independent distributor for Advocare Nutritional Supplements, where she quickly became a top performer and later continued her career in antiques at Antique Queens. She was well known throughout the antique community and people would travel near and far to visit her at Antique Queens.

She had such a warm, loving and contagious personality and welcomed all. She lit up every room with her smile and servant heart, always putting others above herself.

Once the grandchildren started arriving, they took center stage. She never missed an event. She was always front row at the baseball games, football games, soccer games, and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments cheering for her grandkids and waiting afterwards with a warm embrace and an encouraging word.

Lanna was the anchor of the family, always bringing everyone together in love and unity.

She loved Jesus and at tended Forest Grove Christian Church, where she considered the community and her neighbor’s family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Caldwell; sons Cody Caldwell and wife Zena, and Christopher Caldwell; grandchildren Christian Carrasco and wife Carolina Ruelas, Tyler Caldwell, Jaden Caldwell, Austin Caldwell and Allie Caldwell; five great-grandchildren; brothers Billy Light and wife Nora, Gary Light and wife Michelle; sister Sandy Summers and husband David; also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Monte Alford, Tom Owens, Christian Carrasco, Tyler Caldwell, Danny Mitchell and Justin Clayton.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jaden and Austin Caldwell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Grove Church to further share her love of Jesus.
