Tommy Cashaw Sr., 82, of Rockdale died Monday, July 1, 2019, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Rising Star Baptist Church in Rockdale with Rev. Royal Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rock-dale.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mr. Cashaw was born Feb. 11, 1937, in Sutton to Cornelius and Lillie Mae (Powell) Cashaw.

He had worked in the potrooms at Alcoa in Rock-dale until his retirement.

Mr. Cashaw attended Springfield Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, scratch-offs and playing dominoes.

He married Gloria Bell in Cameron and they had been together for 47 years.

Mr. Cashaw was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tommy Cashaw Jr.; a grandson, Tommy Cashaw III; and two brothers, Charles Cashaw and Joe Louis Cashaw.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Bell Cashaw of Rock-dale; his daughters, Pamela Williams and Dr. Tommye Austin, both of San Antonio, Ramona Rountree and husband Mike, Sonya Anderson and husband Steve, all of Austin, Brianna Lovely of Round Rock; his sons, Melvin Cashaw and Charles Cashaw, both of San Antonio, KiKi Cashaw and Omar Bell, both of Houston; his sisters, Doris Wilborn, Dorothy Nelson, Jimmie Thomas and husband Sylvester, all of Dallas.

Also, 10 grandchildren, Brittany Henson, Brinkley Satterwhite, Brynne Rountree, Charles Cashaw, Mya Cashaw, Nakesha Williams, Terrius Williams, Shacoia Anderson, Shacayla Anderson and Breylin Wilson; and 12 great -grandchildren, Germane Jr., Asia, Aaliyah, Aniyah, Ashtyn, Brandon, Kolbe, Terrell, Terrius Jr., Mason, Keke and Terra.
