Babe Ruth Davis, 89 of Rockdale died Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, at St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock.
Services were Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Matt Higginbotham officiating. Burial—also on Tuesday—was at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Bedias to Ruben Asbury and Carrie Eva (Dix) Hadaway.
On April 29, 1946, she married Harold Davis in Houston.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and lived in Rock-dale the past 24 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Davis; a daughter, Gale Lawson; two sisters, Mary Lou Gordon and Ruby C. March; and three brothers, Thurman Hadaway, R.A. Hadaway Jr., and Jimmy Earl Hadaway.
Survivors are three children, Ronald Davis of Katy, Barbara Jean Davis of New Braunfels and Gary Wayne Davis of Austin; four grandchildren, Greg Davis of Houston, Jennifer Davis of Dallas, Kimberly Lawson Temple of Phoenix, Arizona, and Aubrey Lorraine Singelmann of Nashville, Tennessee; and five great-grandchildren, Kylie Wade Tyler and Presley Davis, both of Houston, Mackenzie Temple of Phoenix, Arizona, Noah Isaac Singelmann and Brellia Grace Singelmann, both of Nashville, Tennessee.
Pallbearers were Eric Anderson, Cody Crisp, Antonio Perez, David Scardino, Jacob Singelmann and Greg Davis.
