Lawrence (Larry) Morse Faulkner, 89, of Rockdale, formerly of Levelland, passed from this life on Oct. 3, 2023.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemeter y in Lubbock.

He was born June 14, 1934 in Montclair, New Jersey, to Edwin and Ruth Faulkner.

Larry graduated from Bernardsville High School in Bernardsville, New Jersey, where he was a member of the school’s athletic hall of fame.

He attended Abilene Christian University before returning to Levelland and marrying Marilyn Ivey in 1956.

Mr. Faulkner Larry was a farmer for many years before moving to Rockdale in 1984 to pursue a business opportunity.

He received his pilot’s license and his spare time Larry enjoyed flying aircrafts around the state.

Larry was a member of Austin Street Church of Christ in Levelland before moving to Rockdale. He was a founding member of the Milam County Church of Christ in Rockdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Faulkner; a son, Larry Wayne Faulkner; a daughter, Lori Lynn Faulkner; two brothers, John Faulkner and Lee Faulkner; a sister-in-law, Mary Loyd Faulkner; and a niece, Lari Jan Faulkner.

Larry is survived by his son, Jimmy and wife Robin; his grandsons, Lincoln and wife, Natasha, Sterling, John, James and wife Elizabeth, and Matthew; his great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Ivy, Lorelei, Sabastian, Eli, Michael and Kiara; his nephews, Mark Faulkner, Scott Faulkner and Gary Faulkner; a niece, Karen Faulkner Sands; and a sisterin- law, Gail Faulkner.
