Cheryl E. Helphenstine, 79, of Rockdale passed away in her sleep Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her home.
She called Rockdale her home when her family moved here from Austin in the early 50s She was preceded in death by her husband, Norvell Crain “Sam” Helphenstine; her parents, JC and Viola Dyer; her sisters, Ann Dyer and Joanie High; and a brother, Glen Dyer.
She is survived by her son, Greg Helphenstine of Rockdale; sisters Kay Fisher of Rockdale and Donna Urban of Pearland; brother Darrell Dyer of Nowata, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
