Memorial services for John Max Clark Jr., 62, of Lexington were held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Mr. Clark died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was born in San Bernardino, California, on Feb. 12, 1955, to Janet Marie (Rodifer) and John Max Clark Sr. In 1966, he moved to Austin and then to Lexington, where he lived the past three years. He married Shannon Simmons on June 15, 2013. Mr. Clark enjoyed hunting and the outdoors, he never met a stranger, and was loved by the neighborhood kids. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Jim Clark; and nephew, Dwaine Mason. Survivors are his wife, Shannon Clark of Lexington; his mother, Janet Marie Clark of Austin; a son, John Michael Clark of Austin; a daughter, Paige Ashley Clark of Austin; a sister, Jill Hood and husband Harold of Waldport, Oregon; a stepson, Greg Strelsky Jr. and wife Alaina of Rockdale; a grandson, Greg Strelsky III; and a niece, Amy Hood of Willoughby Island, Washington.
