Edwina Kirchenwitz, 93, of Rockdale died Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation in Rockdale.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Jan. 21, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Pastor Matt Higginbotham officiating.

Mrs. Kirchenwi t z was born June 16, 1929, in Evant to Graves and Jonnie ( Wil liams) White.

She moved to Rockdale in 1978 from Midland.

She was an assistant manager for Dollar General store and a teller at NBC Bank.

In April of 1946, she married Charles Frasure in Evant. After his death, she and Edell Kirchenwitz were married Jan. 29, 2000, in Rockdale.

Mrs. Kirchenwitz loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also made the best chocolate pie and banana pudding.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Frasure on Feb. 24, 1990, and Edell Kirchenwitz on June 23, 2008, and her daughter, Sandra Wettstein on Dec. 6, 2022.

Survivors are a son, Ken Frasure of Austin; a son-inlaw, Neil Wettstein of Rockdale; a brother, Eugene White of Houston; two sisters, Merlene Brooks of Amarillo, Edith Harris of Gatesville; her grandchildren, Kim Wettstein and spouse John Zamora of Rockdale, Derek Wettstein of Rockdale, Andy Bayley and spouse Lisa of Midland, Chad Bayley and spouse Stacey of Westminster, Colorado, Eric Kirchenwitz and spouse Nikki of Austin; her great-grandchildren, Makayla Zamora, Anjelica Zamora, Tony Thomas Jr., Jaxon Bayley, Mason and John Kirchenwitz, Kenna Bayley, Levi Bayley, Hayden Bayley and Reagan Bayley; and her great-great-grandchildren, Adeline, Everly and Kaidon Thomas; also, many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mark Brooks, Derek Wettstein, John Zamora, Eric Kirchenwitz, Tra Muston and Aubry Muston.

Honorary pallbearers were Andy Bayley, Chad Bayley, Scott White, Tiffany Smith and Alondra Rubio.
