GAUSE—William Arnold Kornegay, 92, of Gause died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, in a Bryan hospice facility.

Services were held Sunday, Aug. 26 at Gause Full Gospel Church with Jerry Burns officiating. Interment followed at Gause Cemetery.

Mr. Kornegay was born June 18, 1926, in Gause to Robert A. and Bessie (Green) Kornegay.

He was a rancher in Milam County most of his life.

Mr. Kornegay was a member and past-president of the Texas Southern Gospel Music Association and a member of Gause Full Gospel Church.

He was married to Mary Gladys Kornegay, who preceded him in death in 2009.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Debbie in 1996.

Survivors include a son, Billy Kornegay and wife Shannon of Rockdale; three daughters, Janice Kornegay of Arlington, Stephany Gladd and husband Gary of Alvarado, Pam Courtney and husband Odis of Gause; a brother, Harold Kornegay and wife Patty of Snyder; and a sister, Gladys Keith of Macon, Georgia; also, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
