Kenneth Wayne Koscielniak, 68, of Robinson passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Baylor Scott & Koscielniak
White Hospital in Temple after a courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be at 11 a .m. Mond ay, April 13, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Father John officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born on Aug. 17, 1957, in Rockdale to Harry and Antonette Koscielniak. He was raised in Rockdale and spent much of his youth on the family farm in Bremond, where he developed a lifelong love of working the land, tending cattle, and gardening alongside his family.
He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1975 and began his working life at Invader Boat Co. in Giddings. He later worked at Sandow Mining in Rockdale before becoming a meter reader in Waco. He continued his career at Trading House in Waco and ultimately at Oak Grove in Bremond, where he dedicated over 46 years to Vistra Corp before retiring in December 2025.
Kenneth made his home in Robinson for 38 years and was a faithful member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Hewitt.
On Oct. 4, 1986, he married the love of his life, Cynthia Ann Herzer, in Rockdale. Together, they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage.
Kenneth had a deep love for ranch life. He found great joy in working cattle, tending the land and fishing. Even in retirement, he spent as much time as possible at the ranch with his family. Up until his final days before entering the hospital, he could often be found in the cab of his tractor, discing fields alongside his brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Antonette Koscielniak; and his in-laws, Edgar and Dorothy Herzer.
Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Ann Koscielniak of Robinson; his brothers and sisters- in-law, Harry and Patty Koscielniak of Cleburne, Tony and Becky Koscielniak of Manor; his brother-inlaw and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Amy Herzer of Colorado; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Katherine, Krystan and Wilfred Koscielniak of Cleburne, Ethan Koscielniak and wife Haley of Cleveland, Anna Havrda and husband Ryan of League City; and Dylan and Sarah Herzer.
Pallbearers will be Katherine Koscielniak, Krystan Koscielniak, Wilfred Koscielniak, Ethan Koscielniak, Haley Koscielniak and Ryan Havrda.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Kenneth will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family, and his dedication to the land that brought him so much happiness.
