Memorial services for Laura Jean Waters Williamson, 57, of Zionsville, Indiana, formerly of Rockdale, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Straznicky officiating. Mrs. Williamson died Tuesday, Jan. 23. She was born Oct. 10, 1960, to Kenneth and Christine (Broome) Waters. Mrs. Williamson grew up in Rockdale, went to Rockdale High School and graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1983. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Houston, where she met and married Jon, with whom she spent almost 30 years. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Williamson, and her parents, Kenneth and Christine (Broome) Waters. Survivors are a daughter Whitney Miller and husband Stuart; stepsons Robb Williamson and wife Fay, Richard Williamson and wife Kristy, Chris Williamson and wife Emily; three siblings, Kenny Waters and wife Mary, and Margaret Waters, all of Rockdale, Elizabeth Gest and husband Tim of Kilgore; also, seven grandchildren.
