Delores Drummond Lightsey, 86, of Rockdale died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at her home in Rockdale.

Visitation was set for 11: 30 a. m. u n t i l 12: 30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Lightsey was born May 17, 1936, in San Gabriel to James and Casner (King) McDaniel.

She lived the past 70 years in Rockdale, where she was a homemaker and member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Lightsey enjoyed cooking and making trips to Louisiana. She loved baking with her grandchildren and sitting on her back porch watching the hummingbirds and watching over her flower garden.

She married Dick Dalton Drummond on Aug. 22, 1952. To this union three children were born.

After his death she married Claud Lightsey in Las Vegas.

Mrs. Lightsey was preceded in death by her first husband, Dick Drummond on Jan. 25, 1975; her second husband, Claud Lightsey on Oct. 7, 1998; her parents, James and Casner McDaniel; and two brothers, Dick McDaniel and Danny McDaniel.

Surviving are a son, Terry Drummond and wife Diane of Rockdale; two daughters, Lisa Jo Drummond and Anissa Drummond of Rockdale; a sister, Nancy Leggett of Rockdale; a brother, Monty McDaniel of Thorndale; and four grandchildren, Dalton Hubnik, John Hubnik, Terry Lee Drummond and DeAnna Hartley; also, five great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and her pets, Bugsy and Precious.
