BRENHAM—Teresa Gail (Fults) Maddox was born to Harmon Fults and Julia Ann (McDaniels) Fults in Livingston on Oct. 25, 1957.

She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home with her family by her side at the age of 67 years old.

Teresa graduated from Livingston High School.

She married Dennis R Maddox on June 7, 1974, in Goodrich.

Teresa served as the Mrs. Maddox first lady and pianist of the Rockdale Church for over 20 years. She was a partner in the ministry with her husband, a mother, avid reader, friend and comfort to many. She loved to cook and sew; she was known for her “World Famous Gumbo.”

Teresa had a hobby of collecting fancy purses and shoes from around the world, each one had a story to tell, even though they took every closet in the house to store.

She was a lifetime Christian that was devoted to her faith and family.

Teresa was a member of the Lighthouse Ministries in Bryan.

She had lived in Caldwell for the past 25 years, previously living in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Timmy Fults.

Survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis Maddox of Caldwell; daughter Tracey Jackson and husband Michael of The Woodlands; son Tony Maddox and wife Natacha of Houston; sisters Lisa Ferguson and husband Ramond of Lufkin, Kimberly White and husband Troy of Greenwood, AR; brothers Ricky Fults of Oklahoma, David Fults of Livingston; grandchildren Ashlynn Perkins and husband James, Kevin Dean and wife Arianna, Brooke Jackson, Reagan Jackson and Kennedi Jackson; great-grandchildren Lucas Hoke, Henry Perkins, Charlotte Perkins, Kevin Dean and Emma Dean; and many more relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

A viewing was held Tuesday, May 13, at Bremond Memorial Funeral Home. Services followed with Rev. Glenn Kelley officiating. Burial followed at Bremond City Cemetery.
