Joyce Magee, 81, of Milano died Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at her home.
Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 2, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Matt Higginbotham of First Baptist Church in Rockdale officiating. Burial followed at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mrs. Magee was born April 8, 1937, at home near Cameron to Milton Monroe and Maudie Novella (Shuffield) Mullinax.
She was a graduate of C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron.
She married Craig E. Magee Jr. on Aug. 6, 1954, at Battetown Baptist Church in Cameron.
Mrs. Magee was a homemaker and had worked in a sewing factory for many years and then 10 years at Coffield Lumber Co. in Rockdale.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockdale.
Mrs. Magee enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo, canning and pickling, and especially being with her children and all of their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton in 1984 and Maudie Mullinax in 1991; her husband, Craig E. Magee Jr.on Oct. 31, 2009; and a brother, Elmer Ray Mullinax.
Survivors are three sons, James Magee and wife Millie of Cameron, Dennis Magee and wife Lillie of Milano, Leslie Magee and wife Maria of Rock-dale; and a daughter, Sharon Garza and husband Arthur of Rockdale; also, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Justin Garza, Jarrell Garza, DJ Magee, Austin Dodds, Scott McLerran and Chris Huff.
