Mary Ann Tunnell Walker passed away on Sept. 6, 2025, at the age of 84, resting peacefully in her home in Euless.

She was born on Oct. 6, 1940, in Dallas and soon moved to Rockdale, where she grew up.

Af ter high school, she attended the University of Texas and graduated in 1963 with a degree in music.

Unbeknown to her, the stars collided when she moved to Irving. Not only did she begin her teaching career, but she also met her future husband, Bill Walker. They were married on Sept. 4, 1964.

Mary Ann was a great cook and had many passions including music, art, playing the piano, sports, reading, bridge and playing golf.

After marrying Bill, she devoted her life to raising her children, Elizabeth Walker of Flower Mound and Charles Walker of Euless.

She has four beautiful grandchildren, Laura Bradford of Lake Dallas, Jonathan Cyprien and Brett Cyprien, both of Flower Mound, and Brittany Miller of Bedford (deceased).

She loved her family immensely and she quickly would offer her house for any holiday, get together or any other suggested occasion! Many memories were made throughout the years at her house, and a big hole is in all our hearts now as this will be greatly missed.

Mary Ann set a great example of what true friendship means, as she has countless friends from childhood that she was still in touch with up until recently. She was always present at all her grandchildren’s school and life events, proudly introducing herself as “Mimi” to all their friends. Nothing made her smile bigger than bragging about her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Evelyn Tunnell; brother Duke Tunnell; niece Gina Tunnell; granddaughter Brittany Miller; and husband Bill Walker.

Mary Ann and Bill will finally and forever rest together at a joint burial service to be held at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. The service will be held on Oct. 20 at 3 p.m.

All are invited to attend. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
