Frances Miles, 63, of Rockdale passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born Sept. 26, 1962, in Rockdale.

A celebration of l i fe will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, followed by burial at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Frances was born and raised in Rockdale, where she became known for her strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to others. She spent her life caring for people as a nurse — a calling that suited her perfectly. Whether tending to a patient, checking on a neighbor, or comforting a family member, Frances led with compassion in everything she did.

She loved to sing, especially in church, where her voice and spirit lifted the room. Her faith was the foundation of her life and she lived it through service, kindness and a heart that remained open to everyone. Frances had a special way of making people feel safe, seen and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Everline Anderson; her siblings, Roosevelt Anderson Jr., Teresa Anderson, Marvin Anderson, Darryl Basey, Janice Douglas, Carlos Anderson and Evelyn Anderson; and her grandson, King Gaines.

Frances is survived by her siblings, Robert Anderson Sr. and Jederrick Meyers; her children, Charles Miles (Camille), Christopher Miles (Janna) and Felicia Gaines; her grandchildren, Rhea Miles, Kyra Miles, Christopher Miles Jr., Ciara Miles, T’Niyah Miles, Jaylen Miles, Chloe Miles, Canaan Miles and Prince Gaines; along with a host of nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.

Frances’ gentle spirit, giving heart, and devotion to family and faith will be cherished forever.
