Jimmy Dale Mills, 69, of Milano passed peacefully from this world on Friday, April 25, 2025.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at Liberty Community Church.

Jimmy was born April 9, 1956, to Irene Frith and Odie Mills.

He lived most of his life in Milam County, living his last years on the family land he inherited.

He was a born “fix it” man. He loved taking anything that was broken and tinkering with it until it was working once more.

Jimmy worked many jobs during his life, ranch hand, truck driver and welder/fabricator to name a few.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nettie West, Arch Frith, Clara Miller and Henry Mills; his parents; and a sister, LaNell Mills.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Amie Soto (Trey) of Troy, Dawn Wyatt (Jason) of San Antonio; brothers and sisters Billy Mills (Judy) of Round Rock, Prescellia Warren (Wayne) of West Columbia, Gloria Follis (Bill) of Cameron, James Mills (Ethel) of Brazoria, and Bert Mills of Milano; and grandchildren Emma, Dru and Noah Soto and Brandon Wyatt.

Jimmy was much loved and will be much missed.
