Betty L. Moore, 83, of Rockdale died Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Taylor.
A grave side service will be held Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at the Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler and a celebration of life service will be held in Rockdale at a later date.
Mrs. Moore was born Nov. 22, 1940, in Earle, Arkansas, to Homer Snelson and Birgie Colvin Snelson.
She was a supervisor for Grumman’s and worked on dashboards on spaceships for NASA for over 25 years.
After moving to Rockdale, she worked for Custom Tack as a machine operator for over 13 years.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Moore, stepsons Tommy Moore and Gary Moore, sister Louise Snelson, brothers Benny Snelson, J.W. Snelson, Leroy “Uncle Did” Snelson and Alvin Snelson, and grandson Brew Harris.
Survivors are her daughters, Sherry Bradshaw and husband Chuck of Rockdale, Tina Harris of Tyler; grandchildren Dylan Moore and Kelly, Kristen Smith and Craig, JP Sourdilla and Jennifer, DeeAnna Moore, Ashley Moore, Raasha Stinson, Brandi Hinckley and Tom, Dayne Harris, Dalton Harris and Nikki; and great-grandchildren Wyatt Stinson, Violet, Madison and Addison Hinckley, Francis Bennett, Abigail Sourdilla, Delaney and Finley McNamee and Everett Harris.
Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Moore, JP Moore, Tom Hinckley, Wyatt Stinson, Dayne Harris, Dalton Harris, Chuck Bradshaw, Craig Smith, James Pesl and Leroy Stevens.
