Richard Thaddeus Cook, 57, of Thorndale went home to rest Wednesday, June 11, 2025, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Freddie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Locklin Cemetery in San Gabriel.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the funeral home.
Richard was born in Thorndale on June 19, 1967.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Idella Cook; his parents, Richard Williams and Earnestine Cook; mother-in-law Lorraine King; and grandson Jordan San Miguel.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Yvonne King Cook, they married on April 30, 1993.
He leaves behind his three children, son Brandon San Miguel and wife Jordan, son Thaddeus Cook and wife Valerie, daughter Tamicka Cook and husband Joey.
He also leaves behind 10 of his grandchildren, Aleiya, Keiana, Lyric, Brooklyn, Ameina, Tayden, Nylah, Demi, Kehlani and Brielle; along with his sister, Michelle Williams and husband Fredrick; his father-inlaw, Vernon King Sr.; brother- in-law Vernon King Jr. and wife Pamela; also, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Pallbearers will be sons Brandon and Thaddeus; grandson Tayden; nephews SeDerrick Brooks, Elonte Goss and D’Vaunghncee Goss.
Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Sifuentes, Kalen Reiva, Marcus Gest, Joey Ruscio, Robert Mitchell and Shorty Mitchell.
