Nancy Lucille (Straiton) Green, 88, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at her residence in San Gabriel.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12-noon Thursday, Feb. 13, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. The family will have a private burial.
Nancy was born in Danbury, Connecticut, to Frederick and Dorothy (Barber) Straiton on May 10, 1936.
She grew up in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School.
Nancy met Billy Joe Green Sr. in Danbury and they were married June 5, 1955.
She lived in San Gabriel for the past 49 years.
Nancy was a sweet and loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.
She was a woman of strong Christian faith and was a member of San Gabriel Baptist Church.
Nancy is survived by son Billy Joe Green Jr. of San Gabriel; daughter Laurie Green of Cameron and son Danny Green of San Gabriel; sister Patricia Martin of Washington; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Dorothy Straiton; her husband, Billy Joe Green Sr.; her daughters, Donna Radford and Debra Jaramillo; son Lonny Green; brothers Frederick Jr., Ray and Irving Straiton; sisters Doris Hample and Shirley Kelly; grandson Rusty Bruton; and great-grandson Grayson McCullough.
