Allene L. Paris, 100, of Taylor died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Mark Richards of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church of Austin officiating. Burial followed at Salty Cemetery. Mrs. Paris was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Salty to Claude and Augusta (Doss) Mullins. She grew up in the Salty community and lived in Rockdale and Austin before moving to Taylor in 2014. Mrs. Paris was a member of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church in Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Carl Paris; a son, Charles Earl Paris; a grandson, Monte Carl Paris; a granddaughter, Nancy Lynn Hair; her parents, Claude and Augusta Mullins; and three sisters, Pearl Inez Stigler, Nina Ruth Hart and Ila Rae Rolff. Survivors are a sister, Claudine Paris and husband Darrell of San Marcos; and a niece, Janice Baker and husband Don of Beeville; also, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
