Barbara Ann Rawlins, 83, was born in Elgin on Oct. 3, 1941, and passed away on May 8, 2025.
Services were held Wednes day, May 14, at Lexington Fa ith Temple Churchin Lexington with Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Burial fol lowed at Lawrence

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Jessie Dellon Rawlins; and children Dee Anna and Cliff Pittman, Joel and Stacy Rawlins, Jennifer and Cecil Sanchez.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jordan and Amber Pittman, Caleb and Lacey Pittman, Cody and Beth Pittman, Hannah Rawlins, Shawn and Haylee Pittman, Jason Rawlins, Robert and Hannah Pittman, Phillip Muth, and Jillian Elizabeth Muth Her great-grandchildren are Harper, Bobbie, Hope, Ayden, Kaiden, Gracelynn, Parker, Asher, Shelby, Logan, Mia, Leo, Wyatt, and Claire, whom will make her arrival soon.
Barbara was a loving mother and wonderful Nana to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a friend to all and loved others well. This also showed in her love of 83 foster children that she and Dellon cared for in their home over the years.
She grew up in the Shiloh area and graduated from Thrall High School in 1960.
She worked in Houston as a telephone operator after high school.
Barbara married Jessie Dellon Rawlins on Jan. 28, 1961, and they resided in Oregon for two years before moving back to Texas.
They were members of Lexington Faith Temple and served in various capacities.
Barbara hosted many Christmas parties for the children/teens in the Giddings State School.
She loved baking cakes and made numerous wedding cakes and birthday cakes over the years.
Her infectious smile, wonderful sense of humor, and love for Jesus and others will be greatly missed.
