Evelyn Joyce “Sissy” (Pruett) Romoser, 93, of Spring died Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Graveside services were held at Saturday, May 26, at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale, with Bill Isenbarger of Woodland Hills Church of Christ officiating.

Mrs. Romoser was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Rockdale to John Luther and Lottie Lucille (Yoakum) Pruett.

She was a Rockdale High School graduate and married John Desmond Romoser on Dec. 28, 1950, in Rockdale.

Mrs. Romoser was an avid baker and cook, and longtime contributor of recipes to The Rockdale Reporter. She enjoyed gardening on the farm back in Keota, Iowa and writing letters to her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Desmond Romoser; her parents, John Luther and Lottie Lucille Pruett; a brother, Harold Pruett and wife Frances Jane “Cricket” (Drehr) Pruett; two sisters, LaVerne (Pruett) Voigt and husband Fred Voigt, and Wanda Fay “Poogie” (Pruett) Edelmon; two nephews, Wayne Edelmon and Gary Duane Romoser; and a niece, Karla Suzanne (Romoser) Freeberg.

Survivors are four nieces, Judy Voigt Holt, Belinda Pruett Shipp, Connie Edelmon and Nancy Edelmon Rierson; four nephews, John Pruett, Charles Edelmon, Robert Romoser and John R. Romoser; and a brother-in-law, Louie V. Edelmon; also, numerous great nieces and nephews.
