San Juanita “Janie” Zamora was the fourth of 11 children born to Amador Zamora and Alejandra (Ugalde) Zamora. Juanita was born Feb. 15, 1952, in Rockdale.

She was a client at Milam Adult Resource Center (MARC) for almost 50 years.

She enjoyed bowling, summer camp, shopping, coloring, doing needle stitch, attending the annual MARC Run, and spending time with the MARC staff and clients. Juanita also enjoyed family gatherings and taking photos of her family events to put in photo albums that she collected.

She was a big fan of Elvis Presley and all kinds of music.

Ms. Zamora She loved collecting records, CDs and even tapes.

Juanita was a member of the Church of Christ in Milano, where she attended every Sunday with her family.

She is survived by her special family, Richard Sr. and MIchelle Tibbitts, Richard Jr. (Michelle) Tibbitts, John (Alyssa) Tibbitts, Yvette (Fernando) Valdivia, Angelek Tibbitts, Elicia (Michael) Mancillas, Shea (Dalton) Robertson, Angel Tibbitts and her little puppy, Lola.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Lupe (Vivian) Zamora, Henery (Diane) Zamora, John (Georgia) Zamora, Maria Zamora, Sylvia Baggerly, Oralia Zamora, Margie (Cecil) Cook; and an aunt, Ermelinda Juarez of Rockdale; as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amador and Alejandra Zamora; brothers Arthur (Tully) Zamora, Raymond Zamora and Joe Martinez; niece Emelia Rose Baggerly; and brothers-in-law, Roy Baggerly and Mike Saucedo.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Odes Foster Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors an hour prior to service on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank all her doctors and her nurse, Crystal Huff, Caitlin Strong at Brazos Valley Hospice, and her night caregiver, Angel Tibbitts.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Zamora, Richard Tibbitts Sr., Richard Tibbitts Jr., John TIbbitts Sr., John Tibbitts Jr., Jonah Zamora, Nathaniel Anderson and David Baggerly Honorary pallbearers are Yvette Valdivia and Angel Tibbitts.
