Steve Aguilar, 66, of Rockdale passed away peacefully, Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in Temple.

Steve was born on July 26, 1959, in Abernathy to Domingo and Rachel Aguilar.

He graduated from Rockdale High School in 1979.

Shor t ly af ter, Steve married Kelley Grant and together they were blessed with two children, Natasha and Steven Aguilar.

In 1992, Steve began his career with Walmart as part of the overnight maintenance crew. Through hard work and dedication, he rose to become team lead of the maintenance department at the Rockdale Walmart—a role he held with pride.

Steve was a man who loved deeply and gave generously. He was an incredible son, brother, father, uncle, pawpaw, papow, and friend. His smile was a constant presence, especially when surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Known for his kindness, Steve never hesitated to help anyone in need.

Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, Steve remained strong and his faith never wavered. His legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew him.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Rachel Aguilar; his brothers, Domingo Jr., Danny and Andrew; and friend Kelly Hernandez.

He is survived by his siblings, Louis Aguilar and wife Ann, MaryJo Gonzalez, Lisa Johnston and husband Rhett, and Cyndia Ingram and husband Tracy.

Steve wi ll be greatly missed by his daughter Natasha Aguilar, son Steven Aguilar and wife Stacie; eight grandchildren, Hayden Aguilar and fiancé Natty, Kaleigh, Addison and Sophia Aguilar, Madelynn and Colt Matthews, and Jace Aguilar; and two great-grandchildren, Nadia and Sienna Aguilar; as well as many nieces and nephews.
