Caleb Matthew Stevenson, 22, of Palmetto, Georgia, formerly of Rockdale, passed away Dec. 22, 2022 in Palmetto, Georgia.
Caleb was born Aug . 17, 2000, in LaGrange to Donna Morgan and Joel Stevenson.
He was a graduate of Milano High School.
He worked at Masada Industries as a project manager.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with burial to follow at Lawhon Springs Cemetery in Lee County.
Caleb was born an adorable blonde, curly-headed, blue-eyed, happy baby. Caleb loved to be outdoors and God gifted him even at an early age with mechanical skills, where he was always building or inventing crazy, fun outdoor experiences for his friends and cousins. He tried building a boat, a go cart, created a zip line across the tank and numerous other crazy ideas.
He lived on the edge and didn’t let others get in his way. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, beach trips and spending quality time with his family.
Caleb always wanted to make his mom and family proud. He always told his mom, “Don’t worry about me mama!”
Caleb was a deep person. He truly cared about people and took time to listen and put a smile on their face.
Most recently Caleb moved to Georgia and met the love of his life, Liz, and had a beautiful baby girl, Myla, who was born in October this year. Caleb was so proud to be a dad and Myla was his everything.
Caleb would want his spirit to live on though Myla. Caleb’s life impacted so many people and we know his wish would be that everyone comes to know the Lord as their Savior so we will all be together in heaven for all eternity.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Charlie Morgan and Larry and Saundra Stevenson.
Surviving is his daughter, Myla Stevenson; companion Liz Ware; his father, Joel Stevenson; his mother, Donna Morgan; brother Justin Stevenson; sister Rachel Eanes and husband Austin, and sister Morgan Groendes; nieces and nephews, Gracie, Ryleigh, Samuel, Luke and Walker; aunt and uncle, Michelle and Charlie King; and cousins Jacob and Colby, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob King, Colby King, Lawrence Keno, Anthony Boykin, Braden Sexton and Keaton Popham.
Arrangements by Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, P.O. Drawer 1417, Rockdale, TX 76567, 512-446-5454.
