Eddie Dean Stifflemire Sr., 71, of Caldwell died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Ser v ic e s will be held at 10 a. m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Phillips & Lucke y Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be at Knobbs Springs Cemetery in the Knobbs Springs community.
Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home.
Mr. Stifflemire was born May 11, 1951, in San Gabriel to Elmer and Iris Jean (O’Bier) Stifflemire.
He lived in Caldwell for many years, where he was a co-owner in a family business in oil well pipe and supplies for 50 years in Caldwell.
Mr. Stifflemire was an avid hunter, loved working and ranching, was a devoted family man and loved his grandchildren.
He was baptized in the late 1990’s and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the Cowboy Church in Bryan and Rockdale.
Mr. Stifflemire was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Iris Jean Stifflemire; three sisters, Mary Tyson, Patsy Wuensche and Nora Jean Morris; and two brothers, Johnnie Earl Stifflemire and Charles Stifflemire.
Survivors are his wife, Elane Stifflemire of Caldwell; a son, Eddie Stifflemire Jr. and wife Sherree of Caldwell; two daughters, Enale Stifflemire of Goliad, Deena Sanchez and husband Joe of Caldwell; a brother, Larry Stifflemire and wife Rebecca of Caldwell; sisters, Janell Kuempel and husband Jack of Taylor, Georgia Allen and husband Kevin of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Candace Stifflemire, Haley Cumby, Jenny Stifflemire, Gracee’ Stifflemire, Matthew Dlouhy, Laresia Alexander, and Jonthon Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Alejandro, Alexander and Junior.
