TAYLOR—Charles Ray Sutton, 72, of Taylor passed away Oct. 30, 2024, at the Christopher House in Austin after a short illness.

Charles was born on May 24, 1952, in Taylor to Emil and Pauline Sutton. He grew up in 10th Street Methodist Church, where he was a member.

He graduated from Taylor High School and attended Temple Junior College.

He worked most of his life in plumbing.

Charles was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Jack Wayne Sutton; and grandparents Charles and Augusta Sutton and Eric and Hilma Johnson.

Survivors are his wife, Delia Sutton of Taylor; sons Shawn and Nita of Midland, Mark and Leslie Trevino of Round Rock; grandchildren Dallas and Luke Sutton of Midland, Lyric and Melody of Round Rock; sisters, Janie Czimskey and Kenneth of Taylor, and Betty Lu Hedrick of Rockdale; also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10th Street Methodist Church in Taylor with Rev. Walt Summerlin officiating. A meal will follow in the fellowship hall for family and friends.
