Johnny Paul Wheeler, 72, resided in Rockdale and was born to Betty Conklin and Elva Wheeler on Nov. 13, 1949, in Texas City.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Wheeler served in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic.
He enjoyed Harleys and being in cookoffs in his younger days.
Mr. Wheeler had a great sense of humor and a laugh that will not be forgotten.

Surviving family members are his mother, Betty Conklin; a sister, Suzanne Wheeler Wallace; a son, Dustin Cody Wheeler; and a grandson, Braxton Luke Wheeler.
