Memorial services for Tom Wilson, 71, of Gause will be from 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Gause Baptist Church in Gause with Pastor Jason Lasher officiating. Mr. Wilson died Sunday, Dec. 24, at his home near Gause. He was born July 25, 1946, in Pasadena to Sylvan Gaston and Mattie Lorraine (Burney) Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Connally High School in Waco and TSTI in Waco. He served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1968. He continued in the Reserves until 1971. On Sept. 3, 1977, he married Doris Rich in Gause. Mr. Wilson worked for Texas A&M University as a technician for 20 years, retiring on Jan. 31, 2004. He also worked for Gause Water Supply for 28 years, starting in 1989. Mr. Wilson was a member of Gause Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father in 2012 and his mother in 2007. Survivors are his wife, Doris Wilson of Gause; three sons, Jade Heldenbrand and wife Jennifer, John Wilson and wife Amanda, all of Gause, Gary Heldenbrand and wife Angel of Bryan; a daughter, Alexandria Rose Wilson of Gause; a sister, JoJo Kruppa of Bay City; a brother-in-law, Curtis Rich of Bryan; and 13 grandchildren, Chancie, Joey, Tristin, Carlos, Noah, Madi, Taylor, Tori, Jada, Tyler, Zach, Alyssa and Emmalin; also three great-granddaughters.
