Thorndale cross country runners placed in the top 10 at the Lexington Meet on Saturday, Sept. 8.
In the varsity boy’s race, Mason Drumm placed fourth with a time of 20:44.8. Five other Thorndale runners placed in the Saturday meet: 16. Ethan Ivey 22:39.5; 24. Trayle Schroeder 23:48.8; 25. Jason Penick 23:55.5;
30. Ethan Williamson 25:21.3 and 34. Jake Ivy 26:57.
In the varsity girl’s race, Ava Vicknair placed sixth with a time 16:08.4, and Ashton Kiesling finished eighth with a time of 16:24.9.
Six other Lady Bulldogs placed at the Lexington meet: 12. Trew Schroeder 16:56.3; 30. SavannaTaylor 18:16.8; 31. Taije Schroeder 18:19.7; 41. Ariana Anders 20:32.6; 45. Sandra Perez 24:49.6 and 47. Layla Rodriguez 25:58.8.
The Thorndale cross country team’s run next on Thursday, Sept. 13 in Gatesville. The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs have three more races until their district meet in Gause on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
