ROCKDALE CHRISTIAN SERVICES

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

Peace Lutheran hosts Christmas lunch

Over 350 persons enjoyed food and fellowship Christmas Day at Peace Lutheran Church. The fifth annual “Terri’s Touch of Christmas Spirit Day Meal” was prepared and served to-go in the PLC Fellowship Hall.

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

Attorneys of Texas Title was Business of the Month for December in the monthly award bestowed by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce. Accepting the honor were business employees Kathy Culpepper, Rebecca Green, Tassie Garza and Jenny Melton. Presenters were Chamber board members and ambassadors.

FOR THE ACS

These are participants in the final American Cancer Society washer tourney of 2018, held at Apache Pass. ACS spokesperson Kim Jeter said Since March 2018 the Milam County ACS Board has raised $4,225 with over $3,200 of that raised in bi-monthly Washer Tournaments at Apache Pass.
