Felony cases resolved in Judge John W. Youngblood’s 20th Judicial District Court
Under the direction of Bill Torrey, the Milam County District Attorney, the following felony cases were recently resolved in Judge John W. Youngblood’s 20th Judicial District Court:
CODY JAMES VANBLARICUM, 32, of Caldwell, was sentenced to eight (8) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Burglary of Habitation
JOHN JOSEPH ALVARADO, JR., 37, of Killeen, was sentenced to four (4) years confinement in TDCJ and was ordered to pay $39,744.96 to the victim after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Vehicle
JEFFREY LEE WILLIAMS, 37, of Georgetown, was sentenced to three (3) years confinement in TDCJ and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $60 restitution to the DOS lab after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, DWI 3rd or More
JOHN ROYCE BOUNDS, 38, of Gause, was sentenced to six (6) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Sex Offender Duty to Register
EDWARD CHARLES SMITH, 67, of Dime Box, was sentenced to three (3) years confinement in TDCJ by the Court after a PreSentence Investigation and a sentencing hearing. Mr. Smith had previously plead guilty on a 2nd Degree Felony, DWI 3rd or More – Enhanced
SHERRI C. MCCARTY, 57, of Sugartown, LA, was sentenced to three (3) days confinement in the Milam County Jail after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
JOHN LEWIS, 57, of Cameron, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Theft of Less than $2,500 with Priors
ANDREW LEE GOMEZ, 33, of Thrall, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $2,412.00 restitution to the victims after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Burglary of Building
GINA MARIE CAVAZOS, 51, of Rockdale, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including two hundred thirteen (213) days confinement in the Milam County Jail and was ordered to pay $180 restitution to DPS lab along with a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Bail Jumping – Fail to Appear
JENNIFER ADELE BLYE, 38, of Elgin, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay $34,379.50 to the victims along with a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Bail Jumping – Fail to Appear
KYLE JEFFERSON BARTZ, 36, of Georgetown, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of DWI probation and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $60.00 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class B Misdemeanor, Driving While Intoxicated
BRITTANY NICOLE LAHOOD, 35, of Cameron, was sentenced to twelve (12) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $180 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
JUDITH JAQUELINE BAUTISTA, 21, of Cameron, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including ninety-four (94) days in the Milam County Jail as a condition of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $540 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 1-4 Grams

GRACIE HERNANDEZ TOVAR, 51, of Temple, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $180 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Tampering with Evidence
CHAD MALIN, 47, of Rockdale, was placed on four (4) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Bail Jumping – Fail to Appear
BRIAN JEFFREY SCHOENFELDT, 42, of Hutto, was placed on ten (10) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay $6,335.80 in restitution to the victims after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Assault on a Peace Officer
RAPHAEL DESMOND BUHL, JR., 51, of Rosebud, was placed on two (2) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram

DARREL DEWAYNE SHROPSHIRE, 48, of Rockdale, was sentenced to three hundred eighteen (318) days confinement in the Milam County Jail after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Trespass of Habitation
PAUL BROOKS, 58, of Cameron, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for five (5) years with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of SAFP and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $248 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Lesser Included Attempted Burglary of Habitation
JACOB JULIUS MITCHELL, 36, of Rockdale, was sentenced to seventy-two (72) days confinement in the Milam County Jail after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included, Class A Misdemeanor, Assault Causes Bodily Injury
JOHN MICHAEL LEWIS, 57, of Cameron, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ and was ordered to pay $50.36 to the victim after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Bail Jumping – Fail to Appear
LAUREN ASHLEY ECKLES, 30, of Horseshoe Bay, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and $180 restitution to DPS after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 4-400 Grams
ANDY BENJAMIN CONTRERAS, 23, of Cameron, was placed on seven (7) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of Advanced Anger Management and no contact with the victim and was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and restitution to the victim in amounts to be determined after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Assault Family Violence – Impede Breathing/Circulation

SERGIO ARGENIS CASTRO-JAVIER, 40, of Rosebud, was sentenced to two (2) days in the Milam County and ordered to pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a Lesser Included Class A Misdemeanor, Attempted Fraudulent Possession of ID Information
DYRAL WAYNE ANDERSON, 56, of Cameron, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ and was ordered to pay $360 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 1-4 Grams
CHAD LEE BANKSTON, 45, of Thorndale, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ and was ordered to pay $27,198.35 in restitution to the victims after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Attempted Burglary of Habitation
CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL GARCIA, 45, of Taylor, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Motor Vehicle; and was also sentenced to two separate sentences for three hundred four (304) days confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading guilty to two separate counts of State Jail Felony, Evading Arrest with Prior
