Milam Community Theater’s production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown in Rockdale on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon drew the biggest crowds for the cast and crew since the play started in late July in Cameron. About 80 people attended here.

Council to vote on budget

The Rockdale City Council was not able to vote on the proposed budget during Monday night’s regular council meeting due to a council member being out with an injury. They will vote next Monday in a special called meeting. The first reading of the ordinance set the budget at $5.

Rockdale’s Munroe Jungmann, above, made a hole in one on July 10 on hole No. 5 at the Rockdale Country Club and was awarded $500 by the Men’s Golfing Association. He used a utility club from 142 yards and the shot was witnessed by Gerald Morton, Randy Fletcher and Kent Greenway.

RHS seniors painted their reserved parking spaces last week in time for school to start this week on Tuesday. This is a new custom for the parking lot on Childress. The Reporter will have enrollment numbers in next week’s paper.
