Depot Museum and Heavenly Treasures give holiday hours

The Historical Society Depot Museum will be closed Dec. 26 and 27 and Jan. 2 and 3. They will resume weekend openings on Jan. 9-10. Hours are: Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Heavenly Treasures will be closed Dec. 29 and 30. The store will reopen on Jan. 5 and 6 from 9 a.m.

Al-Anon in-person meetings canceled

The Rockdale Just for Today Al-Anon meetings have been discontinued until further notice due to COVID-19 restrictions. For further information or support call Carolyn S. at 512-273-2484.

Chamber contest winners light up Rockdale for Christmas

The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the “Light Up Rockdale” 2020 Christmas decorations contest. Winners of the residential categories will be contacted by mail to select their choice of a $50 gift card from Rockdale Chamber member restaurant or boutique store.

Lady Tigers split week with win over Florence, loss to Lady Yoeman

The RHS Lady Tigers continued their stellar season as they split their two contests. On Friday, the Lady Tigers hosted the Florence Lady Buffaloes. RHS dominated the game from start to finish winning 38-18. Saige Robertson was the top scorer for the Lady Tigers with 15 points.

JV Tigers fall in tough battle

The RHS JV Tigers we back in action on Tuesday as the traveled to face the Cameron JV Yoeman. Both team fought hard, but the Tigers fell 75-64. Devon Hicks led the young Tigers in scoring with 16 points.

Players, exes have fun night at first alumni soccer match

On Friday night, the Rockdale Tiger soccer team saw many familiar faces when they met up with some of their old teammates in the inaugural RHS alumni game.
