WEATHERFORD—Mr. Louis O’Neal Miller, 82, of Rockdale died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, in Weatherford.

His body was cremated and a memorial services will be held at a later date. During the summer, a gathering of family will spread his ashes at the Texas coast.

Mr. Miller was born March 3, 1939, in China, Texas, to Joseph Celine Miller and Babineaux Miller.

He married Patricia Ann Smotherman Miller on July 6, 1963, in Beaumont and she preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2002.

Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956- 1962 as a nuclear weapons specialist.

After his discharge, he worked for Bethlehem Steel in Beaumont, before moving to Rockdale in 1973. He finished his career as a welder for Alcoa’s Rockdale Operations.

Mr. Miller’s hobby was restoring antique vehicles and he won numerous awards. It was also something he enjoyed with his grandchildren, along with coaching softball.

Survivors are his children, Cindy Miller Faust of Robinson, Tommy (Tina) Miller of Rockdale, Tricia Lou Miller of Hudson Oaks; his older brother, Leroy Miller (Joanne) of Katy; and his younger brother, Nathan Miller of Beaumont; also, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
